We start with envisioning your special day together. This allows us to learn about your wedding aesthetic, your dream look and vision for your hair and makeup, and ensure we are the perfect fit for each other and how we can serve you best.

02 Make it Official

After we confirm we’re the perfect fit, we make it official by locking in your date and contract. We start securing all your beauty needs for all of your events leading up to your big day such as engagement photos, bridal trials, bridal party, rehearsal, and more!

03 Glam Time

Now the fun gets started and it’s all glam and beauty from here! We collaborate together to figure out the perfect looks for each and every wedding event by creating your bridal mood board for you and your bridal party, and finally, get you all glammed for each and every event before the big day.

04 I Do

As your big day arrives, we prepare you for all of your special wedding moments. We create your ultimate beauty timeline with our A.M.L Team to keep it as seamless and smooth as possible and bring the best energy to you and your bridal party. But, most importantly, we get you ready to marry your best friend down the aisle.

I could not recommend anyone more highly for your wedding than Alma Mae and her team. She was so consultative and helpful during our initial calls and trials. I love that she provides recommendations on what will hold or look the best rather than just blindly agreeing to something at the onset even if she knows it might not last through the night. She doesn’t only focus on the day itself but all the months leading up to it – how often you should get a haircut to maintain the length you need, how to keep your hair healthiest for your ideal look. When she quickly realized in our first trial that my hair does not love holding curls, she suggested extensions for the day to help with the hold. Despite the fact that I’ve never dyed my hair, she was able to get an EXACT match from a partner she uses in San Diego just through a picture (I’m in the Midwest). We completely switched looks – adding a braid and some decorative pins – after the first trial and she did a magical job at the last trial and the day of. My hair held, which is a miracle if you knew how my hair behaved and was everything I wanted and more. Besides the fact that she is a hair whisperer, she is also such an incredibly sweet, caring, and wonderful human to work with. As a destination bride, it was key to have a team that was very thorough and timely with communication, which Alma and her team was. Where do I even begin? My relationship with Alma and Kissedbyaml started from a quick Instagram search. I saw her team glamming some amazing women in San Diego and I immediately knew I had to be one of them. And she did not disappoint. Her assistant Elle was so responsive and kind. They put a mood board together for my whole wedding party and had each individualized section for each person’s hair and makeup vision. They came in with the right amount of hair and makeup artists to be able to stick to the timeline and have enough time for touch ups. Most importantly, on wedding day they were on time and so kind to my family and bridesmaids. As all brides know, you’re in a room getting ready for a good 5 hours at least. Alma and her team really made the atmosphere feel like a bunch of girlfriends getting together and catching up on the latest tea. Claire was my amazing makeup artist and I can’t recommend her enough. Her and Alma really made my whole experience working with glam so special. No one else could ever compare. Great team, even better women. Thank you for everything!

Alma and her team are TRULY the best of the best!!!!!! Alma styled my hair on my wedding day and Melissa Hurkman did my make-up. Alma also did my wedding party’s hair and Megan, on her team, did their make-up! Everyone looked drop-dead gorgeous!!!
