Meet Alma Mae Lott

Founder and Lead Artist Alma Mae Lott has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2011 and self employed since 2014 has spent more than fifteen years in the beauty industry. Building a career defined by passion, intuition, and heartfelt connection. Early on, she discovered that styling was where she truly came alive, while she appreciated every part of the beauty process, it was the final blow-dry and finishing touches that lit her up most. She quickly realized that to stay immersed in styling, she would need to pursue paths such as weddings, events, and media work, where transformation and finishing artistry were at the forefront.

After years of working long stretches and navigating the fast pace of the industry, Alma began to reflect on sustainability, not only for herself, but for others in the field. She recognized how easily demanding schedules could lead to burnout and how difficult it could be for professionals to maintain balance while nurturing relationships, family life, and personal well-being. That realization shifted her perspective and deepened her purpose. Her approach became rooted not only in passion and artistry, but in trust, support, and genuine care for the people she serves and works alongside.

Alma believes beauty is most powerful when a woman feels fully cared for, not just in her look, but in her experience. As her loyal clientele grew and demand for her services expanded, she found herself in a position to share opportunities with other talented professionals. What began as a natural act of collaboration soon revealed a greater calling.

She founded Kissed by A.M.L in 2014, later expanding with A.M.L. & Company, both built on a deeper purpose: to create not only an elevated, concierge beauty experience for clients, but also a supportive and sustainable path for professionals in the industry. Alma recognized a gap… talented artists were building strong careers yet often lacked a growth plan with the structure and guidance needed to sustain them through life’s many seasons. She envisioned a company where work could be shared, schedules could be supported, and experts could continue doing what they love while still having space for family, growth, and life beyond their craft.
